Dana Cabernet Sauvignon Helms 2008-750ml

Default Title

96pts-WS: Beautifully crafted and deliciously complex, showing depth, elegance and finesse, this is rich without being weighty. Full-bodied and layered, with a deep mix of dark berry fruit, cherry, plum and currant, gliding along on a seamless finish.--JL, The Wine Spectator, 11/2011

96pts-WA: There are 312 cases of the 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon Helms Vineyard, which has put on considerable weight since last year. Its dense purple color is accompanied by a glorious nose of dusty, loamy soil notes intermixed with black raspberry, black currant, camphor and subtle spicy oak. Deep, rich and full-bodied with velvety tannins and a long finish, it should drink well for 20-25 years.--Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate, 12/2010

Winery Notes: Aromas of Black Cherry, dried flowers and spice.  The palate is a unique blend of gravel and Rutherford dust, layered with creamy ripe blackberry, licorice and black tea.  Well integrated acidity adds vibrancy and soft, luscious tannin coat the tongue.--Philippe Melka, Winemaker
